Hi, I’m Antonio Matta, CPS-P, MCTAA—the Soulful Cartographer of Voices!

I’m a mental health ghostwriter and content creator who translates clinical expertise and lived experience into content that actually does something.

Reach people.

Build trust.

Convert.

Whether you need a voice that sounds unmistakably like you or just need someone who genuinely understands this space—without sounding like an algorithm that learned the keywords—I’m your content engine.

You focus on helping people heal. I take care of the rest.

Our Philosophy on Recovery

“The recovery process is about an individual reaching their fullest potential by making positive, deliberate life changes that impact the quality of their existence. It interlocks a person’s self-directed choices with causation of and correlation to mental wellness and a fulfilled, empowered, self-directed well-being.”

Why I Can Write This

I write and create mental health and addiction recovery content because I’ve lived it — co-occurring.

I’m neurodivergent with a C-PTSD diagnosis and other mental health challenges. For a time, I experienced homelessness in New York City. The years spent learning that survival and healing aren’t the same thing — and that both require language most people don’t have yet.

I didn’t start as a writer who studied mental health. I started as someone whose life depended on understanding it.

That lived experience opened the door. Then I walked through it with training:

  • Peer Support Specialist training and certification from the Academy of Peer Services & The New York Peer Specialist Certification Board
  • Person-Centered Counseling certification from Achology (The Academy of Modern Applied Psychology)
  • Complementary Psychotherapy Practitioner training, CTAA — Complementary Therapists Accredited Association (Member, MCTAA)
  • PAIRS Essentials training in intimate relationship skills
  • Managing Emotions in Times of Uncertainty training from Yale’s Center for Emotional Intelligence
  • Journalism, Communications & New Media background from the State University of New York—which taught me how to research, verify, and translate complexity into clarity

None of this training was required of me. Since 2018, I’ve been building something deliberately: a practice where written content and multimedia storytelling carry equal weight, where frameworks I’ve developed across both inform how I write, produce, and create psychoeducation content that doesn’t just rank—it resonates. The CTAA training, in particular, wasn’t about adding letters after my name. It was about deepening my clinical literacy so the content I produce honors the territory it touches. I’m not a licensed therapist and don’t hold myself out as one. What I hold is something different: a practitioner’s curiosity and a peer’s understanding, working in tandem.

This is what makes me a cartographer of the emotional landscape — not just a writer who learned the keywords, but someone who has mapped this terrain from the inside.

I don’t write about recovery from the outside. I write from the middle of it.

That’s also why I created Recovery Dialogues & Sober Stories — a podcast now entering its fifth season. It’s a space where lived experience experts and clinical experts converge, holding conversations that are too often missing or underrepresented in mainstream mental health discourse. The podcast isn’t a supplement to this work. It’s an extension of the same mission: making sure the people who need these voices can actually find them.

You don't need a writer who Googled your specialty.

You need one who has lived adjacent to it, trained within it, and spent years learning how to make it land.
